CMRS. As per routine, the train stopped at every Metro station for 1.5 minutes. The Metro completed its journey in 22 minutes,” said an official who was on board the Metro.

Before the service was suspended last July, the Airport Metro touched 90-100 kmph.

“The Metro was run only for ministry officials to assess the nature of service before it resumes commercially. The journey was smooth. The halt at each station was jerk-free. The Metro line was found fit to travel,” the official said.

If it covered 22 kms (New Delhi to Dwarka) in 22 mins with 1.5 mins stoppage at stations (4 in all) then its avg speed was more than 60 kmph. Howcome it states that the train ran at 50 kmph ?
