New Delhi, Aug 12: After the airlines came to blows over poaching of pilots, the fierce battle within the aviation sector has now spilled over to support services. Two air hostess training institutes have locked horns over a series of allegedly ‘defamatory’ press advertisements released by each other last week.
Now, one of them, Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training, has moved the Delhi High Court and framed defamation charges against arch rival Air Hostesss Academy (AHA). Frankfinn on Friday said it had filed a defamatory case against AHA for Rs 1 crore.
Charging AHA of issuing false, misleading, disparaging and defamatory statements against Frankfinn in several advertisments issued by AHA in the city supplements on August 4, Frankfinn in its application said that AHA had deliberately published the defamatory statements to harm Frankfinn’s reputation and business interest.
Incidentally, AHA’s ad appeared a day after Frankfinn released its ad claiming 70 placements with Spicejet.
“The ads are designed to mislead the public especially the existing and prospective students,” a Frankfinn release said.
