Microsoft Windows phone still has a lot to overcome if it ever wants to get close to what companies hitchhiking on Android are doing in this space, but the folks at Nokia just don't believe that and they have a picture to back it up too!

The 'truth' according to Nokia, is that the tremendously popular Samsung Galaxy S4, a shining flagship for Android, was put in the shade by the Lumia 1020. The 'news' has made for a massive buzz on Twitter. What are we talking about? Read on...

In an effort to promote the humongous camera power of the Nokia Lumia 1020, which is armed with a monstrous 41-megapixel PureView camera, the company successfully stole a march on soc-net, heating up the competition against incumbent market leader Samsung.

Wanting to make its product stand out and looking to compare the Lumia 1020 with the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Finnish firm, just for fun, got the chance to position its product as hip and fresh and thereby followed in the footsteps of Apple Inc Ė it did so to great effect with the Mac vs PC series, then Samsung took it to the next level with its ongoing Galaxy vs iPhone campaign.

To come back to the current situation in the smartphone battle-zone, on Monday, Nokia strategically placed its billboard (on a truck) just in front of the Samsung Galaxy S4 hoarding which said, 'Still it didn't see this coming'. Before long, Nokia tweeted, ďOops, Samsung didn't see it coming;)Ē.

Albeit, the off and on attacks on rivals are common, but Nokia and Samsung Electronics have started attacking their superiors openly on the social media.

Tweetpies too came forward with funny comments on smartphone makers. On Nokia Lumia 1020, an avid Samsung Galaxy follower tweeted, 'Typical way to make a candybar phone is to create a sandwich.'
