No irregularity in sale of land to Wave Infrastructure, says Akhilesh Yadav
Wave Infrastructure Private Limited, which was promoted by Ponty Chadha, is developing Wave City Centre on the land.
In reply to a question by Samajwadi Party’s Ravidas Mehrotra, the Chief Minister said the plot was given to Wave Infrastructure Private Limited (Consortium) according to the existing norms and through a bidding system.
In response to advertisements in national daily newspapers, three bids were received and Wave Infrastructure Private Limited (Consortium) quoted the highest rate of Rs 1,07,003 per square metre. After this, the allottment letter was issued by the Noida Authority.
Later, Mehrotra expressed his dissatisfaction over the reply. “I am not satisfied with the reply. The allottment process was tailor-made to suit a particular person. Even the two bidders who had quoted a lesser price were dummy firms of Wave Infrastructure Pvt Limited (Consortium). It was a scam and should be probed,” Mehrotra told Newsline.
