He may have ridiculed politicians who have taken to social media as the “chirping brigade” but even Nitish Kumar, it turns out, is not immune to its allure.
The chief minister of Bihar has joined Facebook and in just a few days attracted 2,500 followers, and a stream of reactions — some approving, many rather uncharitable. The stinging dig came from Sushil Kumar Modi, “Now, he will get a measure of support for Narendra Modi.” Nitish, needless to say, had severed ties with the BJP for projecting Modi as its PM candidate.
Soon after Nitish posted his speech delivered at the National Commission for Minorities, it drew a response: “Kahe ka bikash? Pichle kuch mahino main, BJP se alag hone ke bad kya bikas hua hai?”
