The NID students who received awards included Rishi Kumar for ‘Best Art Direction’ and Khyati Trehan for ‘Best Acting’ in the film Amour V, Priya Goswami for ‘Best Director in non-fiction category’ for the film A Punch of Skin, Satchith Paulose for ‘Best Director in fiction category (under 10 minutes)’ for his film The Itch, and ‘Special Mention Award’ for Anoop Sathyan, who made A Dream Called America.

Bosch Rexroth’s new plant starts operation at Sanand

Bosch Rexroth has put a new plant into operation at Sanand near Ahmedabad, replacing the previously rented facilities and increasing the overall square footage at this location. In order to be able to address the specific regional product and system requirements, the company is not only expanding production, but also stepping up sales and development.

AMC link workers protest over wage

Scores of link workers of AMC health department sneaked in its office building and sprayed black ink on officials and at the entrance of standing committee room on Thursday afternoon. This was done to protest against a recent government directive that they would be paid not a fixed sum, but in accordance with the quantum of their work. “The protesting link workers were later detained and mo-ved out by police”, said Rajesh Bhatt, additional chief fire officer.
