New schemes for labourers’ welfare in Haryana
These schemes included providing the facility of LTC to labourers, sewing machines to women labourers and financial help to children of industrial labourers, who have won several sports and cultural competitions, an official spokesman said on Thursday.
“The state government has also decided to increase the amount of financial help being provided through various schemes of Labour Welfare Board,” he added. These included increase in financial help being given to widow or dependant of labourer from Rs 50,000 to Rs one lakh. The amount of scholarships being given to children will be enhanced from a minimum of Rs 2,000 to Rs 4,000 and maximum of Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000.
Financial assistance in case of physical disability caused due to some accident would be increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 and a maximum to Rs 30,000, said the spokesman.
