How will the N-deal change the face of India?

It is going to help our power sector. We need lots of power to keep the momentum of growth going to realize the dream of our more than one billion people.

Will it (N-deal) readily solve our energy problems?

It will not readily solve our energy problems. We need to tap other sources of power as well, like the renewable sources such as wind power, hydel-power, tidal power etc.

How can the youth be the participants in the growth of our country?

It needs a lot of vision. Though, participation of youth is happening but it requires more intensity.

How many more years will it take for us to join the league of developed nations?

By 2020 we will be a developed nation.

The dreams of former President Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam may come true if political stability is firmly established and terrorism is rooted out in the country besides a strong national leader emerges at the helm.

It does not require the brilliance of Dr Kalam to say that the N-Deal will NOT solve our power problems: even the average educated Indian knows that. The real beneficiaries are USA, France and Russia who will get large export orders. A few Indian business houses in the power sector will also benefit. For India, it amounts to our signing both NPT and CTBT (albeit orally), something that we had resolutely refused for forty years. It is sad that a man of Dr Kalam's stature has been fooled into recommending the N-Deal that reduces the nation's pride and sovereignity.
