Murder of top officer’s kin: Accused found dead

The main accused in the murder case of Saket Gupta, a senior IPS officer’s cousin, was found dead on railway tracks at Agamkuan here late on Wednesday night.
The body of Prem Singh (45), the owner of a bar-cum-restaurant here, was found about 50 metres from the railway track near Bachaspati Nagar. The body bore severe cut marks on the face and legs.
Agamkuan police had been looking for Prem Singh ever since Saket Gupta, brother of a director general rank officer, was killed on Monday at the gate of Kumhrar Park. The police had arrested two persons and were looking for Prem Singh.
The victim’s brother Suresh Singh alleged: “My brother’s body was thrown on the railway track after being killed. We blame the incident on the police.”
Patna SSP Amrit Raj said “The mysterious death of Prem Singh will be thoroughly investigated.”
