Mumbai Indians to off-load Harbhajan Singh
Express News Service: Oct 31 2012, 17:39 IST
The Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians might not retain their skipper Harbhajan Singh for the 2013 season. The decision was conveyed to the India off-spinner days before BCCI's Wednesday deadline for listing their squad for the coming season. The other international expected to be offloaded happens to be pacer Munaf Patel.
Those in the know say that the Mumbai franchise are keen to have Australia skipper Michael Clarke as Harbhajan's replacement. Clarke, who played for Pune Warriors in the IPL 5, is a free player as he just had a one year contract.
Harbhajan had led Mumbai Indians to the Champions League title last year.
