: tones. If you are planning to play some music on it, be prepared for a tinny overtone. Kishore Kumar might sound like Himesh Reshamiya.
To accommodate your music (multimedia) and other data it has a 110MB of internal memory and can be expanded up to 8GB via microSD memory card. The slot for the memory card is provided on the left side of the device.
The thing that will attract you most in E71 is its very thin body (just 10mm), and that’s where it scores over all its rivals. Despite its thin shape it stashes a 1500 mAh, Li-Po battery with 10.5 hours of talk time and 17 days of standby time.
The 3.2 mega pixel camera is rather mediocre in quality and at best will give you grainy (video noise) images with poor contrast. The LED flash is also no big deal.
While the E71 can do most of the things that other smart phones do, it lags on the multimedia front. But don’t fret! It more than makes up for it on connectivity front.
For hard connectivity, it has a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE with 850MHz/1900MHz UMTS/HSDPA support, Wi-Fi 802.11g, Bluetooth 2.0, Infrared and GPS and support for assisted GPS (A-GPS) and Nokia maps.
As if ‘E’ in E71 stands for ‘Email’ it supports mail for Exchange and other corporate server mail, POP/ IMAP and other third party email solutions.
The provided hands-free stereo headset with standard 2.5mm four-way jack is as sleek as the E71 itself and does not lack in audio quality as the main inbuilt mono speaker.
Like any other Nokia phone, E71 too has absolutely no issues with the signal strength and you will not miss a call.
At an MRP of Rs 22,949 it’s a very good device not only for firing SMSs or emails but also general mobile computing. ...
