MM varsity holds annual convocation

Over 2837 graduate and post graduate students were conferred degrees at the annual convocation of M M University, Mullana on Saturday. The convocation was addressed by Prof D P Agarwal, chairman of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). 19 students got PHDs in various disciplines and 57 were awarded gold medals. The function was presided over by chancellor of the University, Tarsem Kumar Garg. In his convocation address, Agarwal said that Haryana is emerging as an education hub. “The youth of the country is the driving force of the nation,” he said. Vice-Chancellor, Prof S G Damle said that after starting as an engineering college in 1995, in a short span of time the M M group of institutions has become a full fledged university offering courses in almost all the professional streams of education.
