Menthol rises on increase demand

Menthol bold crystal, menthol flake and mentha oil prices rose by Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 1,755, Rs 1,665 and Rs 1,610 per kg, respectively.

Traders said increased demand from pharmaceutical units and other consuming industries against restricted arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh, mainly pushed up menthol prices in the wholesale chemical market here.
