Menthol prices rise on fresh buying

Menthol prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on fresh buying support from consuming units and exporters, amid restricted arrivals from producing belts.

Menthol bold crystal, menthol flake and mentha oil prices rose by Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 1,730, Rs 1,640 and Rs 1,600 per kg, respectively.

Traders said firm demand from exporters and consuming industries, amid restricted arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh, mainly pushed up menthol prices on the wholesale chemical market here.
