Mentha oil futures prices rose by Rs 12.60 to Rs 1,393.20 per kg today, supported by export and industrial demand.

Restricted supplies from the growing belts of Chandausi, in Uttar Pradesh, also influenced prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in December edged higher by Rs 12.60, or 0.91 per cent, to Rs 1,393.20 per kg, clocking a business volume of 1,049 lots.

The oil for January contract traded higher by Rs 12.20, or 0.87 per cent, to Rs 1,403 per kg, with a trading volume of 116 lots.

Analysts said fresh buying by traders following pick-up in export and industrial demand and lower arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly pushed up mentha oil prices at futures trade.
