Man held for luring minor into live-in relationship
The victim has been rescued and the accused has been charged with rape, police said.
The incident was reported from Begumpur in Outer Delhi. The girl is a Class X student and her parents had reportedly filed a missing complaint with police on January 25 after she failed to return home from school.
“Two days ago, we found out that the girl was living with the accused man. He is married and lives in a house close to the girl’s. The couple was having an affair and he had lured her into living with him at his house. On basis of the girl’s statement and a medical examination, he has been arrested and charged with rape,” a senior police officer said.
In another incident, a man was arrested for trying to rape a woman in Southwest Delhi’s Bindapur locality. “The accused has been charged with attempt to rape,” DCP (Southwest) A K Ojha said.
