if the Left Parties and the BJP had responded to her request and supported the no-confidence motion moved by her party, "then there would have been a fall of this government and (UPA-II) could not put pressure on the people".

"But unfortunately they (parties) did not pay heed to our call and like the Royal Bengal tiger, Trinamool Congress is one party which has the guts and did not care for the ministerial positions or anything when safeguarding interests of the people," she said.

The chief minister said she supported the issues on which the Left and other trade unions have called a country-wide industrial strike on February 20 and 21 but would not allow observance of any bandh or blockade on those days in West Bengal for this.

Reiterating her opposition to FDI in multi-brand retail, she said, "I am not against the foreigners but the FDI in multi-brand retail would snatch the livelihood of 50 lakh small traders. RPG group is doing retail business but they (are) indigenous (businessmen). There could be one or two shopping malls."

Banerjee, who has decided that Trinamool Congress would go it alone in the crucial Panchayet elections due in May this year, said Congress and CPI(M) were trying to team up against her party, but they would not succeed.

Ms.MAMATA BANERJEE - WEST BENGAL

ADV LAL CHAND JAIN | 22-Jan-2013Reply | Forward
Ms.Mamata Banerjee's indignified statement shows nothing but she is street leader not at all political leader. Political leaders maintains their status and make opposition to maintain their status also. But here Madam Mamata is different type. Allegations, dismissal of Centre, CPM, Congress and BJP spreading rumours against her government and now she went even to talk like insane person beating of Prime Minister of India. This is her insanity, indignity towards opponents, instead of law abiding she is law breaking. Actually she proved 1000 times she is unworthy of CM's chair and after her becoming CM she lost all her mental stability. Only God alone save West Bengal from Ms.Mamata Banerjee.

No, mammy you are not allowed to cross the borders of w bengal, Keep on following your funny and stupid policies in wb and go on in deeper and deeper pit of poverty; it is your choice. And though I dislike MM as much as any other citizen of this nation, I am not going to let you do this. If he is not giving you any money than he is saving that money.

I cry for you, West Bengal!!

This stupid little idiot is all mouth and no good. Those who live in Bengal know very well that the situation is much more worse that what was before. West Bengal is now only equal to UP in the rape count! Basic infrastructure is pathetic. Corruption is rampant. All goons who were earlier with CPM are now with Trinamool. West Bengal, which was one day ruled by the intellectuals, have now been taken over by the corrupts, anti-socials, and criminals. Mamata is a befitting leader of them. And her words are equally befitting to her.
