SummaryMalaysia Airlines MH 370 plane has disappeared and Indian kin of passengers have been running from pillar to post.

Devastated over uncertainty surrounding the fate of his wife, one of the passengers of the missing Malaysia Airlines MH 370 plane, K S Narendran today came down heavily on the Centre for its 'silence' over the incident.

Chandrika Sharma's husband Narendra, whose family is undergoing untold suffering and anxiety, said "no Indian government official has contacted us so far to inform us about the status of passengers or about the mishap".

Speaking to reporters an emotional Narendra said "No Indian authority called us. Don't know what government is doing. Why is India not deploying experts?"

He charged the Malaysian government with "hiding information," about the fate of Malaysia Airlines plane and added that "lack of information is painful".

"It is inconceivable that a plane could vanish in thin air," he said, adding they were waiting without end between hope and hopelessness.

The Beijing-bound Malaysia Airlines Boeing with 239 passengers on board went missing on March 8 and efforts are still on to unravel the mystery behind its disappearance.

Malaysian authorities have asked India for help to find the Malaysia Airlines plane which may have strayed into the Andaman islands area.
