Colombo: Asserting that the LTTE has been ‘totally destroyed’, Sri Lanka has said that Tamil Tigers or other terrorist outfits will not be allowed to take roots in the country again.
Disclosing that more than 5,000 LTTE cadres had surrendered before the Government, Defence Secretary Gothabaya Rajapaksa made it clear that criminal elements among the surrendered Tiger cadres would be brought to book while others will be rehabilitated.
"More than five thousand LTTE cadres have surrendered to the security forces and criminals out of them will be dealt with the prevailing law and the rest will be rehabilitated," he said.
"LTTE has been totally destroyed by the security forces and there is no way the LTTE can get revived in the country," Rajapaksa said.
He said several human rights organisations employed in Sri Lanka in the recent past were keen on saving the LTTE leaders and not the displaced civilians.
"Hence the government identified their real objectives and acted accordingly," he told a Sinhala language TV channel 'Derana'.
Rajapaksa said that the government will never "disturb media freedom" in Sri Lanka.

Has Prapakaran ever said that his group never did this murder, or did he say that some rebels from LTTE did this without his knowledge? Did he ever apologise to the family of Rajiv and the people of India for this crime or can he prove that LTTE had no share in this crime.. It is similar to John F Kennedy's murder. king pins were never caught, the real conspiracy never came out( though some say the Israelis were involved in it) Mr Tiruma you have one thousand one problems that concern your community and caste, please work hard in up lifting your people and for a while forget about the issues of Tamil people in Sri Lanka, you have neither the capacity nor the resources to find solutions to these issues, there are others who can do this much more competently than you, stop wasting your time, after all Charity should start at your home, but you try to end charity at your poverty stricken hut, it is sad. Change your mind set and learn philosophy based on True Almighty God. Good Luck.

Part one:Is it not a fact that covertly and/or overtly, India gave its fullest support to Tamil Eelam Liberation Organisation (TELO) in the 19070s and 80s? Did not MGR support it? Did he not donate Rs 5 Crores to them? Did we not have LTTE bases in Tamil Nadu at several places in the 80s? Read the Book MGR, the man and the Myth By K. Mohandas: A Treasure House of information. Is it an internationally approved or unapproved contribution to a liberation movement? If that is so why does the US block funds to Hamas? Is Hamas not a genuine liberation movement? Who killed some of the finest Tamil Eelam patriots such as Amirdalingham, Tibiban, Uma Mehesvaran, Padbanaban, Saba Ratnam and many others? Were they traitors or patriots who were sacrificed because of policy differences?

Part TWO: Whose decision was it to send Indian troops to Sri Lanka with the view to help Tamils solve their problems and in the process is it not true that about 2000 Indian troops were killed in action, almost as many as who were killed in the Kargil war with Pakistan? Who attacked the Muslims praying inside Jammah and Hussainiya Mosques at Kattankutty killing 120 men and children and seriously wounding 75 others and making several thousand refugees? Is blind chauvinistic and ego based nationalism more important than the life and security of people? All of us need hard thinking and retrospection.This requires killing our narrow mindedness>

Arrogant Lanka shows its TEMERITY in questioning USA itself about its wars in Iraq and Afghanistan !Lanka was questioned by the Good international community about its use of heavy artillery and aircraft to bomb civilian areas , hospitals and No Fire Zone.Lanka snubed them , asking them to mind their own business .Snubbed USA accusing USA of discriminate Drone attacks in Afpak.Lanka is going the Communist way.The Red Sash Rajapakse brothers and Lankan military are cavorting with China. All this bodes ill for Lanka.China is building an ultra modern port in Hambantota in South Lanka.Is it to be used in case of a future war with USA , which has a naval base leased from UK in Deigo Garcia , Chagos Archipelago,Indian Ocean .

History shows that since 1948 constitutional and non-violent Tamil agitations were put down by police brutality, army rule of Tamil provinces and government sponsored pogroms. LTTE was the dialectical nemesis of Sinhala atrocities and Indian/international indifference. The present regime is the most chauvinist and reactionary in the island! 300,000 Tamils are not kept in concentration camps, called "villeges". Why are Aid agencies and Press not allowed to visit them! Why are families separated? Slow genocide and settlement of Sinhalese in Vanni and Jaffna would happen with money donated by India for Tamil resettlement - as happened with the Tsunami funds.During the 1965 Indo-Pak war and 1974 Indian nuclear explosion, SL was more hysterical in UN than Pakistan. Now she would emerge as China's willing partner against India. Now, that LTTE is gone, would Delhi wake up and assist Tamils - at least in India's geo-political self-interest?

Why so? The LTTE was formed due to misgovernance of the minority Tamils in SL by the Govt. Rajapaksa should start with a clean slate with the right governance to prevent further formations of new LTTEs etc.Remember the pronoun is dead but LTTE is an adjective and never dies. Do Justice to the minority. The world is watching now not like in 1984.

It is unfortunate that a freedom struggle by an oppressed race, was considerered a terrorist movement, just becuse LTTE had to retaliate a true-terrorist srilankan govt. People with the knowlwdge of world history know that any freedom struggle is tainted by terrrorism, even Indian freedom struggle started with sepoy mutiny. Since Prabakaran failed in his attempt of liberating his country, people take pride in calling him terrorist. Otherwise, he would have been appreciated as war-hero by the international community.We cant forget that Baghat singh was called a terrorist by the British empire, but we call him a freedom fighter. If tamil eelam becomes free in future, no doubt, Prabakaran will go in history as a pioneer freedom fighter of tamil eelam.Anyhow, srilankan tamils have become true orphans once again with the fall of LTTE.

Terrorism in the world is something like a third world war battling in different places of the world since decades together. The present world organisations are not able to solve the problems like Palastine, Seperate Eelam (Now ended), occupied Kasmir and Indian-china border like that, because ofnot having any constitutional powers. When the world is becomming small in the present age of ultramodern technology,is it not necessary to go for a world government? Why the international inellectuals are not exposing about its necessity?We, as world community, shouldn't leave the serious issues like terrorism, to their own fate or to the fate of world community for the longest periods like this. This speakes about the irresponsibilty of the world community. Are all of us not suffering from these issues? Is the progress in the world is not suffered?Please think over.
