Lord Mahavira Homeopathy college and hospital located on Haibowal chowk is yet to get the registry of land done from Ludhiana improvement trust (LIT) though the land was allotted in 1976. However, the issue of enhancement fee has not yet been sorted out which has delayed the land registry of the college.Information through RTI, sought by one Balbir Aggarwal a resident of Miller Ganj, revealed that college was allotted four acres in July 1976 at Rs 25 per square yard while later this price was revised to a token money of Rs 10 per square yard. Hira Lal Jain, president of the management, said: “The government did not decide the case earlier, but we have again taken up the case with the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and we are hopeful of getting positive response soon.” He however said: “We had paid all dues of the land allotted to us and it was only later that LIT charged some enhancement fee as per the land prices of the area, which is not applicable to the charitable institutions like us. It is not a big issue and will be sorted out soon.” Information revealed that the then local bodies minister had ordered the trust officials to get the sale deed done without taking enhancement fee, but since then, the case has been
