Washington: Lindsay Lohan has dismissed reports she’s set to play a character loosely based on herself in a romantic comedy.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star was rumoured to be in talks to star in ‘One Night With You, portraying a former child star who finds herself trapped in scandal, goes to rehab and revamps her career by appearing on a reality dating show.

However, Lohan said that she hasn't been approached for the project, insisting the casting announcement was news to her, reports Contactmusic.

The actress told GossipCop.com she has "not heard of such a thing".
