Appearing before the bench of Chief Justice N V Ramana and Justice Manmohan, the Delhi government counsel submitted that the

L-G and officials concerned in co-ordination with Delhi Legal Services Authority would also discuss the modalities for disbursement of the rape victims compensation fund.

The lawyer, who was responding to a court’s query on how the rape victims’ compensation fund was utilised without giving any detail to the court, submitted that Rs 57 lakh had been disbursed for the purpose. A Rs 15-crore victim compensation fund was created by the government after the December 16 gangrape case.
