Bigger screen sizes are becoming popular these days, demonstrated by the success of the 5-inch Samsung Galaxy Note. Sensing the consumer interest, homegrown brand Lava International has entered the phone-cum-tablet segment with Iris 501, priced at R9,999. LAVA Iris 501 is not a phone & tablet it is a phablet the revolutionary movement of LAVA best competitor to Micromax and Karbonn. 1 GHz, Dual Core Processor under the range 10k its awesome. 5" display has a superb clarity with the qvga resolution. 2300 mAh Battery with Dual Core Processor which means good Backup, Battery life is good, however drains fast on 3G Ram - 512 MB - so good processing speed The 5mp cam makes sure that the photos are of top-notch quality. Although low light photographs May not be as good. Video recording can be done upto 480p. 3G Support (7.2 Mbps HSDPA; 5.76 Mbps HSUPA) All In ALL under 10k the Best Trouble Free Phone be it used as Single SIM or DUAL SIM! No other device can match it in terms of specs and support.Good Job LAVA.
