Agnes Paul, Principal, S V S High School, Khadki, has been honoured with the Best Teacher Award by the Khadki Cantonment Board (KCB).
Paul was awarded for being an efficient, committed and dedicated teacher, the KCB said. Paul, who has been in the profession for nearly 30 years, has taught the likes of former India hockey captain Dhanraj Pillay in the 80s. She rose from a teacher to a principal at SVS School, which is the second oldest school in Khadki. An expert in maths, Paul is also popular among students for fluency with which she speaks the Queen’s language.
KCB shortlisted Paul from candidates from the board, private and government schools. “I am delighted to be honoured as the best teacher. I am happy that several of my students have made it big in life,” she said.
