Jeweller’s murder: Cops hunt for clues

A day after a jeweller was robbed and shot dead at Bhuyangdev crossroads, the city sent empty cartridge case recovered from the scene of crime to the Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis.
DCP (Zone I) Neeraj Badgujar said, “Forensic analysis will help us identify the gun used for firing. Based on that, we will search for the past cases wherein such arms were used.”
The Ghatlodia police have collected CCTV footage from the shops on the Bhuyangdev crossroads hoping to get some clue of the assailants. Police said that so far, the affected family has not stated whether Prakash Vagadiya, who owned Balkrishna Jewels, had any enemies or some money transaction was left to be done.
