Jeera prices dipped by Rs 320 to Rs 14,757.50 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels.

However, thin supplies in the domestic market kept the downside limited.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in October dipped by Rs 320, or 2.12 per cent, to Rs 14,757.50 per quintal in open interest of 231 lots.

Likewise, the spice for delivery in November contract traded lower by Rs 50, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 14,960 per quintal in 14,832 lots.

Market experts attributed the fall in jeera futures to profit-booking by speculators at prevailing higher levels mainly kept pressure on jeera futures prices.
