Jeera declines on subdued demand

Jeera prices fell by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today on subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Jeera common and jeera best quality declined by Rs 200 each to conclude at Rs 14,300-14,500 and Rs 17,300-17,800 per quintal.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks, mainly pulled down jeera prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
The following are today's quotations:
Ajwain 10,000-15,000, black pepper (per kg) 410-545, betel-nut (kg) 160-195, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 800-900, and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 950-1,050.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 730-860, cardamom (colour robin) 720-870, cardamom bold 730-830, cardamom extra (bold) 940-1,050 and cloves (kg) 600-670.
