The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) has estimated that the Indian toy industry is set to grow 20-25 per cent year-on-year, boosted by the trade fairs and exhibitions.
"At present, we are growing at 10-15 per cent y-o-y, but the fairs and exhibitions related to toy industry will give a boost to that growth that will help us attain 20-25 per cent growth in the future," said Sonia Prashar, IGCC's director (Marketing and Trade Fairs).
The toy industry meets in Mumbai at the premiere of the international trade fair Kids India from October 24–26, when over 100 Indian and international manufacturers will present toys, baby articles, licenced products, sport articles, and leisure and hobby articles for the buyers. In addition, the workshop and seminar programme will tackle the current key issues in the industry.
The fair will not only provides a product overview but also a complete overview of the market too.
The fair is organized by Spielwarenmesse eG in cooperation with the IGCC and with the support of the Sports Goods Export Promotion Council (SGEPC) and The All India Toy Manufacturers’ Association.
