: resulted in new areas of collaboration: a new programme in Bihar which I launched on Tuesday; and collaboration on issues where India has a positive impact on poverty in India but also globally, such as the production of low-cost drugs for HIV/AIDS and malaria. In January 2008 the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced a three year commitment to work with India to work towards achieving the millennium development goals. Over these three years, the UK Department for International Development (DFID) has committed £825 million to support development efforts in India. ...
