Indian Hotels opens Gateway to better branding

Mumbai, Sept 11: Tata talked about at the recent annual general meeting of the company, Bickson mentioned about the group’s plans to set up two hotels near the New Delhi airport, one in Navi Mumbai and plans near the Bangalore airport as well.

“We are in discussion. The Navi Mumbai property will be a greenfield project and will be under the Gateway brand,” said Misra, adding that the group plans to take the Gateway brand to all the new airport sites.

On plans of taking the Gateway brand abroad, Anil P Goel, chief financial officer said, “We will be looking at expanding the brand domestically. But we will be open to taking the brand abroad.” However, Bickson, said, “We only want to grow in luxury brands abroad.”...
