Only 68 questions on education were asked by 227 councillors in 325 meetings of various BMC committees between March-September 2012.
Only 38 out of 227 councillors raised issues pertaining to education.
None asked questions on passout rates or inspection reports while only one question was asked on the dropouts.
What is further surprising is that a meagre 36 questions were asked in the education committee by its 22 elected members in 12 meetings.
Implying that seven members did not ask even a single question during March-September 2012.
Meanwhile, 32 MLAs raised a total of 684 questions on education in the house.
Of which, 166 were related to the education in Mumbai.
