The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, plans to launch 30 management books written by its faculty members over the next two years. The books will be published by Random House, which has already brought out seven books written by IIMA lecturers since November 2010 when it entered into a collaboration with the institute.

“We will be coming out with 30 books on diverse management subjects in the next two years. Since 2010, seven books have been launched and 11 more are in the pipeline at present,” said IIMA director Samir K Barua.

According to Random House, the seven books together have sold 50,000 copies since their launch. The institute is publishing these books with a black-cover jacket to differentiate them from other management books in the market.

“We have sold over 50,000 copies across the seven-book series and there will be more in the series in 2013. This is a hugely successful collaboration that we plan to continue with IIMA,” said Caroline Newbury, vice-president (marketing and publicity) for Random House Publishers.
