Bangalore: An IBM employee died on the spot and seven of his colleagues injured, one seriously, when the car in which they were travelling turned turtle in the early hours on Monday, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Bhaskar (30), working as an engineer with IBM.
"The mishap occurred when Bhaskar who was at the wheels lost control and the vehicle turned turtle", Superintendent of Police, Mandya, Kaushalendra Kumar told PTI.
The eight-member group was travelling from Mysore to Bangalore.
While six IBM employees, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged after being administered first aid at a private hospital in Bangalore, the seventh one who was seriously injured has been shifted to National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, Bangalore, he said.
The injured who are in the age group of 28-30 years are : Madhusudan (admitted to NIMHANS), Sharath, Nagendra, Vibhucharan, Manu, Prithviraj and Venkatesh, Kumar said.
