iBall Base 09 Headset Review: With busy lives and so much to do, it becomes imperative to multitask at times. Thankfully, Bluetooth wireless headsets are a great tool to help you do just that. They are hands-free, wire-free devices that you simply attach onto your ear. This gives you the freedom to take care of other tasks, such as cooking, using the computer, listening to music, or anything else that is better done with both hands, yet still allows you to carry on a phone conversation.

Mumbai-based promoter of iBall products, Best IT World, recently introduced a new range of headsets bearing the ‘Gold’ theme. And among the top of the Gold Series is the swanky Base 09 Bluetooth stereo headset. The device is sturdy and affordable too, retailing at R4,999. Its big earcups, auto-pause and play function and a range upto 10 metres makes it a worthy, wireless companion.

The Base 09 has the following features: next track and previous track, play/pause, answer call, end call, reject call and redial last call, volume adjustment. It can also be used as a wired headphone (without mic). The device’s in-built rechargeable battery treats its owner with 16 hours of music time or 17 hours of talk. It is recommended to charge the battery fully before using it for the first time.

You have to pair the Bluetooth headset with mobile phone before using it for the first time. Pairing it with my BlackBerry Bold 4 was easy. All that one has to do is
