Hotel robbery similar to earlier theft at Jalandhar Radisson

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Crime Satbir Singh said, “We are still investigating into the matter. Also, we are not ruling out the possibility that the hotel staff is involved in the matter”.

Considering the scenarios which had come out, the police officials are questioning the hotel staff. A key was given to unauthorized persons who had said that they were not able to access “their” room when the complainant Dr Mohit Mittal and his wife were having breakfast in their room.

The accused knew what the couple had in their luggage. “The thieves had put our things as they were when we left the room after stealing the jewelery and cash. It was when my wife looked for her earrings and she was not able to find them, did we realize that something was wrong”.

He further added, “That was when we checked the rest of out stuff and realized that my things were put in her (his wife) bag and hers in mine. Then we later realized that all the cash and jewelery was missing”.
