Mumbai, November 8: : Horton International India, one of the executive search firms with top ranking clients like ABN Amro, Johnson & Johnson, L&T Infotech and Pfizer is in the midst of a major transition. For, the firms’ two senior partners, Sunit Mehra and Vijay Mahajan, alongwith the entire team comprising nine professionals, are soon floating another firm called Hunt Partners in India. They will be joined by professionals from the US and UK operations of Horton International.
According to Mr Sunit Mehra, senior partner, Horton International India, the new venture will also be taking over the existing business of Horton in India. Says he: “This implies that all the clients who form Horton’s current business would now be a part of our new venture.”
Philip Mayer and John Fischer from Horton’s operations in UK and USA respectively are expected to join the new venture.
Adds Mr Mehra: “There are some pockets of excellence that we have already consolidated with our wide-ranging experience in the current business. We are therefore moving out and setting up an entrepreneurship venture where we would be able to leverage this excellence and do justice to the clients.”
Adds Mr Mehra: “Hunt Partners would be one of the country’s global boutique search firms that would specialise in fulfilling complex CEO level searches”. Hunt Partners will set up an office in Mumbai first. “We will also be opening up an office in Delhi, even as the business operations commence in Mumbai,” adds Mr Mehra.
