Hooda-Sharma nexus in real estate deals: Chautala
Chautala also alleged that Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra was sold the controversial piece of land in village Shikhopur, Gurgaon, by firms whose directors had links with Sharma and his family.
However, Sharma denied the allegations, saying, “I belong to a family of businessmen. We are into various businesses for the last four decades and all such businesses are according to law. Chautala is a habitual liar and has a habit of levelling malicious and frivolous allegations.... We are not like him, who amassed huge amounts of money, without doing any business.”
Earlier, at a press conference, Chautala alleged that real estate companies Onkareshwar Properties Private Limited and Mark Buildtech Properties Private Limited are registered on the same address of a flat in Nehru Place, New Delhi. Onkareshwar Properties is the company, which sold 3.5 acres in Shikhopur to Vadra’s Skylight Hospitality Limited.
Onkareshwar Properties has Satyanand Yajee as its director. Yajee is general secretary of the All India Freedom Fighters Organisation and in charge of constructing and maintaining a memorial in the name of Hooda’s father Chaudhary Ranbir Singh in Rohtak, he said.
The other company — Mark Buildtech — has Venod Sharma’s son Kartikeya Sharma as its director. Kartikeya owns 99 per cent shares of this company, Chautala alleged. “Both the companies
