Gur price closes lower on fresh supply

Gur chakku prices softened by Rs.50 per quintal in the national capital today, following fresh arrivals from manufacturing areas amid reduced offtake.

In Muradnagar gur pedi also lost Rs.50 on increased arrivals.

In Delhi, gur chakku prices slipped from Rs.2800-2900 to finish at Rs.2750-2850 per quintal.

In Muradnagar, gur pedi settled at Rs.2600-2650 per quintal.

However, gur raskat remained in keen demand on fresh offtake by beer making industries.

The following are today's quotations per quintal: Gur chakku 2,750-2,850, pedi 2,900-3,000, dhayya 3,000-3,100 and shakkar 3,200-3,300.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,350-2,400, chakku 2,550-2,700 and khurpa 2,550-2600.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2600-2,650 and dhayya 2,650-2700.
