'Gunday' box office collections are off to a splendid start after the movie did a rocking business on the opening day with Rs 16.12 crore.
Gunday, starring Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra, opened in 2,800 screens across the country on Friday.
As per trends, Gunday box office collections are expected to be phenomenal Rs 45 crore to Rs 50 crore in the opening weekend.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: "As per trends, expecting #Gunday to have a phenomenal ₹ 45 cr to ₹ 50 cr opening weekend."
The expectations from Gunday have been all-time high after the first trailer was launched several weeks ago and a robust start was definitely on the cards. A section of the industry is convinced that Gunday is the next RS 100 crore grosser. Will it hit a ton? Fingers crossed!
Priyanka Chopra, who had two releases last year - the superhit 'Krrish 3' and 'Zanjeer' remake, which did not do that well - is looking forward to good responses to her latest release Gunday.
In the Yash Raj Film, Priyanka Chopra plays the role of a glamorous cabaret dancer Nandita in the 1970s of Kolkata and is romanced by both Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor.
