After taking inputs from the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) and the external affairs ministry and adding its own comments, the ministry of corporate affairs (MCA) will present findings of the Walmart probe panel report before Parliament in the monsoon session, MCA minister Sachin Pilot said on Monday.

The corporate affairs ministry will also present its action-taken report, along with the probe panel report, in the Monsoon session, Pilot said.

The one-man panel looked into Walmart's lobbying activities to enter the Indian market and submitted its final report on May 18 to the corporate affairs ministry. Headed by former Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana High Court Mukul Mudgal, the Walmart panel report is reported to have found inconsistencies in the response of executives that deposed before it.

"Mudgal has given the report and the ministry is examining it. When the monsoon session of the Parliament starts, we will table the report along with the action-taken report," Pilot said without divulging any details. Pilot was speaking on the sidelines of the annual day celebrations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Sources said that an action-taken report would be prepared after taking into account the comments from MCA, DIPP and the MEA. The same would be first presented to the Cabinet and, then, placed before Parliament in the next session, sources said.
