



Chandigarh, Jun 18: Godrej Agrovet Limited has crossed a milestone by launching its latest Aadhaar outlet in Batala, near Amritsar. With the launch of this outlet, the number of 'Aadhaar' stores in the country has shot to 47. The store, over an area of 24,000square feet makes it the largest Aadhaar store in the country and will have new offerings which are not present in other Aadhaar stores.
The store will offer a range of products and services which include complete agricultural solutions to farmers such as soil testing, products for farmers and provide advice on matters related to farming. For the household, it will offer a variety of consumer products including food and groceries, appliances, apparels, footwear, kitchenware etc.
The exclusivity of store is its offerings such as mobile phones and accessories, computers, a range of quality furniture from Godrej Interio, toys for children, jewellery and imported cosmetics, stationery, gift items, fresh fruits, vegetables and invertors, etc. Breaking away from the conventional rural retail format the Batala store, this will also have a beauty parlour for the ladies, a food-court offering an assortment of dishes and a sweet shop. Through tie up with HDFC bank it plans to offer agri-loans to the farmers and life insurance package through ICICI Prudential.
Also, a 24 hours Apollo pharmacy is planned to be set-up.
