London: Climate change is responsible for 3,00,00 deaths a year and is affecting 300 million people, a study has claimed.

The first comprehensive study of the human impact of the global warming projects that increasingly severe heatwaves, floods, storms and forest fires will be responsible for as many as 500,000 deaths a year by 2030, making it the greatest humanitarian challenge the world faces.

Climate-change disasters are also causing economic losses, amounting to more than USD 125 billion a year – more than all the present world aid.

The report came from former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan's thinktank, the Global Humanitarian forum. By 2030, the report said, climate change could cost USD 600 billion a year.

Kofi Annan, who launched the report here, said: "The world is at a crossroads. We can no longer afford to ignore the human impact of climate change. This is a call to the negotiators to come to the most ambitious agreement ever negotiated or to continue to accept mass starvation, mass sickness and mass migration on an ever growing scale."

Rajendra Pachauri, Chair of the UN Inter-governmental panel on climate change, said "The scale of devastation is so great that it is hard to believe the truth behind it, or how it is possible that so many people remain ignorant of this crisis."

Respected Sir, I have seen several web sites regarding the subject issue and also your post 'Global warming causes 300,000 deaths a year' and I could not sustain to post this because every one is beating around the bush leaving the main cause of the issue. Sir, here I want to give some examples. If we go out in summer seasons we get plenty of sweat on our body. To compensate the loss of water we drink plenty of water in this season. Here water comes out of our body in the form of sweat to cool our body temperature. The more water in our body the more control on our body temperature. Even doctors also prefer us to take more water when it is hot. Here I am talking about the tendency of water to ease out to the hotter surface. Here is one more example: The water stored mud pot gets sweat over its surface when it is placed in the hot sun. We all know that the hot air when it contacts water does cool. Similarly the water stored in the crest of our earth eases out to the surface as the summer gets hotter. The wind which passes over the surface gets cooler and we does not feel so hot. But now a days as we all know that the storage of our earth’s crest water has gone very much deeper because of sucking the water for our daily needs and farming needs. Earlier there were storage ponds at various places so that the discrepancy in the surrounding areas will be taken up by the stored ponds. But now a days many of these are occupied and filled with concrete houses. The need of water for our daily use has gone up compared to olden days. But the rain fall remained the same. We all are aware that we get lot of suffocation in summer seasons than in colder seasons when we are in traffic. Here we can observe one thing that the green house gasses settles down faster in cold weather than in hot weather. Green house gasses do some extent are the cause for the global warming. But not as much destruction caused by draining out the earth’s water. So the need of charging the earth with plenty of water arises. This can only be done by providing various water storage ponds. I feel that by this method of cooling the earth will definitely decrease the global warming and prolong the period of earth’s destruction.
