Gerard Butler loves to bare his bottom onscreen

London: Hollywood actor Gerard Butler loves to show off his derriere on the big screen becauses he considers it his finest asset.

"I love to show my rear end in roles. I fear it's becoming a bit of a habit, a tradition that I have to show my bottom in every movie that I can," Butler said.

But 'The Ugly Truth' star insists that it would be wrong to think that an all-baring scene is included in his movies just to get him get naked, reported Contactmusic.

The Scottish actor bares all in new film 'Law Abiding Citizen' and admits that scene was very much in keeping with his character in the film.

"This was always a great scene in the movie and actually speaks volumes about this character and part of the wackiness and unexpectedness that happens... He's completely unpredictable and so when he strips off it makes sense," the actor said.

The 39-year-old actor also said that he was inspired by Robert De Niro to bulk up for his role in 'Law Abiding Citizen'.

"I had to bulk up for this film. I was inspired by watching De Niro in Taxi Driver during the scene where he's doing the push-ups and he's so cut," he said.
