Geetanjali murder: Parents seek 3-day custody of granddaughters

Parents of deceased Geetanjali, whose bullet ridden body was found from her husband’s Chief Judicial Magistrate Ravneet Garg’s compound on Thursday, moved a petition in a local court seeking a three-day custody of their granddaughters to celebrate the elder sister’s birthday.

The elder daughter would turn 5 years on November 6. Om Parkash Aggarwal has filed a petition in the court of Guardian judge Bhawana Jain seeking custody of both the daughters form Novenber 5 to November 7 to celebrate the elder sister’s birthday with her cousins and maternal grandparents.

The last time Aggarwal and his wife were allowed to meet their grandchildren was on September 22. The couple met the two minors for three hours in Panchkula at their counsellors’ residence in Panckhula.

Geetanjali, 30, was found murdered on July 27 at high-security Police Lines area of Gurgaon. The deceased’s husband Ravneet Garg and his parents were booked by the Central Bureau of Investigation for murder under relevant Sections of the Indian Penal Code.
