: The Sensex closed above its earlier minor top of 3165 and is in a confirmed intermediate uptrend and the Nifty is very close to its earlier minor top of 1020 and will soon follow suit. The earlier intermediate top for the Sensex and the Nifty is also quite near and is at 3225.26 and 1040 respectively. If the current intermediate uptrend is able to take these indices above their earlier intermediate tops, the major trend of the market will be up and a new bull market will be said to have started. Thus the coming week will possibly clear the fate of the major trend.

The sentiment among the market participants is cautious as most of them felt that the markets will not be able to move above their earlier intermediate tops.

The market usually has a habit of surprising the traders and investors and as most of the investors and traders are cautious, the probability of the indices crossing their earlier intermediate tops are quite high.

This means that traders who have picked up long positions should continue to hold on to their long positions with trailing stops. Many frontline stocks are very near to their earlier intermediate tops and if they are able to close above their earlier intermediate tops, the indices will follows suit.

Today I will not take up any particular sector, but will look at a few stocks, which could lead the next bull market if it gets confirmed by moving above the targets given above. These are the few stocks, which are very near to their earlier intermediate tops, and if they close above their tops, the indices will follow suit. Investors must keep a close watch at these stocks and must get into the market if the major uptrend gets confirmed. The strongest of the sector is still the banking sector and I have already discussed this sector a number of times.

Telco

Telco is one of the few stocks, which has stayed above its 30 WMA and is trading above it even as most of the stocks have dropped below their long term moving average. The stock is in an intermediate uptrend and is very near to its earlier intermediate top of 168. A close above 168 in the current intermediate uptrend will signal a major uptrend for the stock and traders who have taken up long positions in the stock may shift these trading...
