India's CEOs can wield the brush as well as their excel sheets. As the Painter CEO initiative enters its fourth year in 2013, it is apparent that some of them can express themselves with great aplomb through painting.

The brainchild of business strategy consultant Shombit Sengupta, the Painter Club now has 48 members who express some of their ideas that drive their organisation through the medium of canvas.

The effort by Painter CEOs has been recognised as a unique concept by Limca Book of Records.

As Siraj Chaudhry, chairman, Cargill India put it, “Trust your instincts, take your chances. This thought was in my mind, the expanse of sea, a little boat floating in tranquillity, out in the open in a certain amount of fearlessness.”

The line of thought was also put succintly by Dr Ravi Segal, MD, GE Energy: “Painting is certainly a very great experience. It takes imagination, ideas and creative thinking to stay focused on what you do, what you are passionate about and believe in. So you can transform all that into how you perceive the world.”
