Flying out of Kolkata airport to be costlier from mid-Feb

It based its tariffs on the air traffic projections for the next four years. The Kolkata airport handled 9.6 million passengers in 2010-11, 10.3 million in 2011-12, with the AERA estimating that it would grow by 10 per cent till 2015-16.
The cargo traffic grew by six per cent in 2011-12 and 10 per cent in 2011-12. The rate of growth was expected to remain the same till 2016-17, the AERA report said.
