After the witnessing worst fog of the season yesterday flight operations at the Indira Gandhi International airport here largely remained normal today, even as the area witnessed shallow fog.

Though the airport experienced shallow fog, it had no effect on flight operations and most of them were on time, an airport official said.

There were some delays but it was due to weather conditions at other destinations or some operational reasons of the airlines, the official said.

Yesterday, operations remained suspended for almost five hours. No flight could take off between 6 AM and 10.45 AM as visibility dropped to less than 50 m due to dense fog. Around 180 domestic and international flights were affected yesterday, while 19 each were cancelled and diverted to Jaipur, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
