Five arrested by EOW remanded in Judicial custody

Five people, who were accused of fooling scrap dealers and arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the UT police, were sent to judicial remand till December 24, on Tuesday. Three police inspectors came to the court, who applied for their transit remand. A lower court directed the inspectors to get an order from their respective courts, before allowing them to take the accused. The Jagadhri Police, Delhi Police and Sector-36 police station had applied for the transit remand. Anil Joshi, DSP of EOW, said, “The accused have confessed to a few cases in Jagadhri, Delhi and Ludhiana”.
