Mumbai, June 10:: Foreign Institutional Investors were net sellers in equities worth Rs 910 crore as the BSE continued its losing streak for the second day on Tuesday.
FIIs bought shares worth Rs 3,310.16 crore and offloaded share valued Rs 4,220.32 crore, resulting in a net sale of Rs 910.16 crore, as per information available on the BSE.
However, Domestic Institutional Investors were net buyers in shares worth Rs 296.39 crore.
As per the information available on the Sebi website, FIIs sold shares worth Rs 1,341.80 crore on Monday.
Among other categories, non-resident Indian entities and proprietors invested in shares worth Rs 0.81 crore and Rs 26.61 crore respectively.
Brokers also bought shares worth Rs 141.27 crore for their clients or retail investors.
The BSE benchmark sensex ended 176.85 points or 1.17 per cent down at Rs 14,889.25 points.
